God’s People and Suffering (Pt. 1) - 1 Peter 4:12-13

Peter's aim in this final section of 1 Peter, which begins in chapter 4 vs 12, is to prepare Christians to face suffering so that they are able to keep the faith through the suffering and come out on the other side - which is sharing in the glory of Christ when His glory is fully and finally revealed. Verses 12-13 shows us the inevitably of suffering and how Christians ought to respond to it, namely not being surprised by it, but rejoicing in the midst of it.
